So, Tony had finally made a breakthrough in his robot-friendly food he'd been working on for a while now. Ever since Astro had become a real boy at the Halloween event. Trying a cheeseburger and then some soda. But then he morphed back into his robot self, unable to eat. Then, there was Glit. The Decepticon cat who Tony had formed a bond with over the last few months. There was obviously a difference in both foods for Astro and Glit since they were different builds. Vastly different. The food items were now set out upon the table with more stored inside a specially made cooler which was powered by AI and had glowing blue lights inside. It was pretty futuristic indeed.
"Ok, FRIDAY? I'm going to ping both boys since the food and drink is ready. Have you made sure it's safe enough? You know the uh---health checks we talked about?"
Tony swivelled around on his work chair as he spoke to FRIDAY who came up as a holo-projection just in front of the food bench via a portable pop up screen device. A load of algorithms came up on her screen as Tony checked them thoroughly. He didn't want any trace elements to taint the food.
"Uh-huh...ok. I think we're ready. Bon appetit!"
Sending out a ping to both Astro and Glit, he hoped they would arrive at the workshop to try out the robot-friendly food and he had on offer for them both.

17/2/21 08:31 (UTC)Spotting his destination down below, Astro dove down to come in for a landing, deactivating his thrusters once he was low enough to the ground to land on his feet. He entered the workshop, looking around curiously. "Tony? I got your ping!" Astro called. "What's going on?" Nothing seemed amiss at least.

19/2/21 15:58 (UTC)"Hey, Astro! Glad you could make it, buddy. You know I was talking about robot-friendly food ages back at the Halloween party? The one where you burped on the soda and cheeseburger? Well, I've been tinkering the last few months and have come up with something you might like."
Moving over to the workbench, Tony offered Astro the view of his robot-friendly food. It was shaped like the real thing but looked like some sort of strange blue paste held together to keep it's shape. Sort of like a neon jelly which was shaped into the food item.
"I thought you'd like to try this and see if it tastes like a real cheeseburger. It's a sort of energy paste which you can dissolve once you swallow it. Sort of like an energy bar for robots, which happens to taste like a cheeseburger."

15/3/21 04:25 (UTC)"Really?" The teenager followed Tony over to the work station, spotting the plates of..blue-ish paste that was kind of shaped like food? He did recognize the shape of a burger though. He stared openly. "Wow!!" He laughed and moved to hug Tony with a grin. "You made this for me?" He looked back at the table, but still kept his arms wrapped around Tony. "Kind of looks like gummy candy. Except shaped like a burger." He mused. "This is so cool! Thanks so much!"
He hesitated though before looking up at his friend. "Just in case anything happens, my PINpoint is in my pocket. Just call my Dad. He'll be able to help." Not that he didn't trust Tony or anything or think that his invention would mess up his internals. But it was always good to have a plan B. Just in case. It was the engineer in him.

29/3/21 18:45 (UTC)"Gummy candy? Yeah, I guess you could call it that. It tastes like the real thing though. No candy taste. Do you want to call your dad first before we start? I wouldn't want you worrying about getting sick or something."
Tony tried to be as accurate as possible with the specifications but knew that even he was still human and mistakes could happen. He didn't want Astro being like some lab rat testing out his robot food then getting sick. Hopefully, he should be ok because the stuff was really safe.
"The worst that could go wrong is you end up with a bad case of belching. Seriously, this stuff is harmless. It should taste really good too. But yeah----I'm totally for you calling dad first though."
He cared for the kid like an uncle would.

20/6/21 23:37 (UTC)"How did you even come up with something like this?" He asked, selecting the burger one and pulling the plate closer to him. He pinched off a piece of the jelly like substance giving it an experimental sniff. Not finding anything amiss, the teen popped it into his mouth.
It took a second for the flavor to kick in and his eyes widened. It was already dissolving in his mouth, but the flavor pinged both senses and memory. "Oh wow! It really does taste like a burger! A cheese burger! I can even taste the ketchup in there." He reached for another piece, delighted. "It's kind of funny how the visuals don't match with what I'm tasting but...it's still super cool." So far, his self diagnostics weren't pinging anything out of the ordinary. Tony had knocked it out of the park with this one.
